Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi confirmed on Wednesday that the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations aimed at ending the war in Gaza are proceeding positively, stressing that Egypt has been making continuous efforts to bring the war to an end.

In a speech during the graduation ceremony of a new class at the Police Academy, El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s commitment to engaging positively with the Palestinian cause, praising U.S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war in Gaza.
He noted that President Trump had dispatched his envoys with a clear mandate to work on ending the war, sending a message to Trump to continue supporting efforts toward reaching an agreement on Gaza.
El-Sisi added: “I invite President Trump to attend the signing of a Gaza agreement in Egypt, should one be reached.”
The President further stated that Egypt is capable of overcoming challenges through the unity, cohesion, and resilience of its people, and that no one can threaten the Egyptian state.
He affirmed that Egypt can withstand any challenge and confront any danger, noting that the country has succeeded in defeating terrorism and that the situation in Egypt is reassuring.
El-Sisi also stressed that the economic situation is improving, saying: “We have gone through difficult times, but matters in Egypt are progressing well thanks to God and the Egyptian people.”
