Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Al-Shibani, expressed his deep gratitude to Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, for their leadership in rallying support for Syria’s return to the Union for the Mediterranean.

In a post on the platform "X", Al-Shibani stated that the solidarity shown by Safadi and Kallas “reflects the spirit of cooperation and regional responsibility.”
He added, “We extend our sincere thanks to the member states of the Union for the Mediterranean for supporting Syria’s return to its rightful place within this important regional framework,” expressing hope that this return will mark the beginning of fruitful cooperation that serves the peoples of the region and promotes stability and development.
