Jordanian national Muay Thai team athlete Omar Awad continued his impressive run at the Adult Muay Thai World Championship, held in Kosovo, on Sunday, qualifying for the final of the Under-24 category in the under-67kg weight division.

Awad managed to overcome Vietnamese world champion An Ca Toan in the semifinal, in a tough bout that went three rounds, before sealing it with a technical knockout in the third round, guaranteeing himself at least a silver medal as he continues his pursuit of gold.
Awad had opened his campaign in the championship with a first-round knockout win over Polish world champion Bartosz Bamula, before overcoming Croatia's Robert Rezo in the quarterfinals after the latter withdrew during the bout.
