Have you ever received a WhatsApp message only for the sender to delete it before you had a chance to read it? Did you know that you can recover that message without using any third-party apps?

Yes, it's possible—but it works only under one specific condition.
What is this condition?
If your WhatsApp is set to back up chats regularly and a backup was made before the message was deleted, you can simply restore that backup, and the deleted message will reappear because it was saved in the backup before deletion.
Steps to Recover Deleted Messages from a Backup:
Step 1: Check the time of the last backup
On iPhone:
Open WhatsApp
Go to Settings > Chats > Chat Backup
You’ll see the date and time of the last backup.
On Android:
Same steps: WhatsApp > Settings > Chats > Chat Backup
Note: If the message was sent before the time of the backup and wasn't yet deleted, there's a good chance you can recover it.
Step 2: Uninstall WhatsApp
Press and hold the WhatsApp icon
Select Uninstall or Delete App
Step 3: Reinstall WhatsApp
Open the App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play Store (for Android)
Download WhatsApp again
Step 4: Restore the Backup
After verifying your phone number, WhatsApp will automatically detect the backup
Tap Restore when prompted
Your chats and media will be restored, including messages that were deleted after the time of the backup.
Important Notes:
Any new messages received after the backup time will be lost.
This method only works if:
The backup feature was enabled.
The deleted message existed at the time the backup was made.
Example:
Someone sends you a message at 8:00 PM
WhatsApp makes a backup at 8:15 PM
The sender deletes the message at 8:30 PM
You uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp and restore the 8:15 PM backup
The deleted message will reappear!
