Jordan hosts Asian qualifiers to World Women's Handball Championship

AMMAN — The Asian Handball Federation (AFC) has decided to move the Asian women's qualifiers, which was to be held in South Korea, to Amman from September 15–25. Jordan Handball Federation President Tayseer Al Mansi told Jordan News, "The AFC board of directors welcomed the unanimous decision of the AFC to choose Jordan to host this major tournament." He pointed out that the selection of Jordan confirms the nation’s great technical capabilities and administrative expertise to be able to host such an event. A delegation from the AFC is due to visit Jordan next week to check on the technical and administrative preparations, inspect the gyms that will host the matches and team training, as well as select the hotels for this tournament.
