Slight drop in case numbers on Tuesday

AMMAN (JNEWS) — The Ministry of Health on Tuesday recorded 96 COVID-19 fatalities in Jordan, pushing the death toll to 6,747. A total of 7,751 cases were recorded, raising the caseload to around 605,000, said the Ministry, according to the Jordan News Agency Petra.اضافة اعلان

A total of 3,434 cases were recorded in Amman, 1,003 in Irbid, 951 in Zarqa, 509 in Balqa, 377 in Karak, 327 in Mafraq, 247 in Ajloun, 237 in Jerash, 236 in Madaba, 201 in Aqaba, 132 in Tafilah and 97 in Maan.

 Some 359 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 464 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals stands at 3,400. The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 94,300, it added.

More than 503,950 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far. Around 15 percent of the 49,330 COVID-19 tests that were conducted back positive.
