How Summer Sleep Deprivation Changes the Way You Think and React
Staying up late during the summer may seem harmless, especially with vacations, social gatherings, and warmer nights. However, the effects extend far beyond feeling tired the next day.اضافة اعلان

According to Annahar, disrupted sleep can affect the way you think, regulate your emotions, and respond to everyday situations, making you more irritable or impulsive than usual.

Can Lack of Sleep Affect Your Personality?

Clinical psychologist Banine Brita explains that sleep is one of the most important pillars of both mental and physical health, giving the brain the opportunity to recover, process information, and regulate emotions.

She notes that insufficient sleep does not permanently change a person's personality. Instead, it influences how they interact with the people and situations around them.

She also emphasizes that sleep quality is just as important as sleep duration, since poor-quality sleep can prevent both the body and the brain from getting the restorative rest they need.

According to Brita, sleep deprivation or poor sleep quality can reduce concentration and attention, increase the likelihood of misinterpreting situations, and lead to more negative reactions.

It can also cause headaches, mental fatigue, lower productivity, and reduced ability to complete daily tasks. As stress and irritability increase, some people may also develop unhealthy coping habits to deal with exhaustion.

The problem tends to become more common during the summer because of higher temperatures, changes in daily routines, and later bedtimes.

However, the real issue is not simply staying up late it's missing out on the deep, restorative sleep that the brain and body need to recover and function at their best.
