Italian police recovered three paintings by French masters Paul Cézanne, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Henri Matisse on Friday, months after they were stolen from a museum near Parma, northern Italy, last March.

Officers from the Carabinieri Command for the Protection of Cultural Heritage located the artworks inside an apartment in Parma, while nine Moldovan nationals are currently under investigation in connection with the theft, according to the Italian news agency AGI.
The paintings were stolen from the Fondazione Magnani-Rocca museum near Parma during the night of March 22–23. Experts estimate the combined value of the works to exceed 9 million euros.
The recovered masterpieces include Cézanne's A Glass and a Plate of Cherries, Renoir's Fish, and Matisse's Odalisque on the Balcony.
Police released surveillance footage of the heist showing two masked thieves entering through a window, removing the three paintings from the wall, and exiting the premises in less than three minutes.
