AMMAN — The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply announced a plan to ensure the availability of goods, monitor markets, and stabilize prices during the upcoming month of Ramadan. اضافة اعلان

The announcement was made by Minister Yousef Shamali during a meeting with the prime minister and representatives from the private sector and regulatory authorities, Al-Mamalaka TV reported.

Price ceilingsShamali stated that the ministry is ready to impose price ceilings on goods if there are unjustified price hikes during the month of Ramadan.

In particular, he warned that if the price of poultry increases, the ministry will be forced to impose price ceilings.

Meanwhile, the Acting Minister of Agriculture, Mohammed Al-Najjar, has pointed out that vegetable and fruit prices for this upcoming Ramadan are lower than they were last year.
