Government decision aims to encourage land and housing ownership

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday announced its decision to reduce the property sales fees by 2 percent, and the property sales tax by 1 percent, bringing the percentage in total to 6 percent, starting from April 1, 2022.اضافة اعلان

The government prepared a draft law amending the land registration fee and a draft law amending the real estate sales tax law to fix the total fee and tax at 6 percent instead of 9 percent.

The decision comes with the aim of stimulating the real estate and housing market, and enable people with low incomes to purchase land and decent housing.
