According to the JPRC’s financial statements, communication with the government is still ongoing regarding other financial matters in order to resolve outstanding obstacles to the government’s payment of its dues.

In June of last year, the company concluded a financial settlement agreement with the National Electric Power Company on the payment of dues owed by the latter, as well as delayed payment interest and installment interest. The agreement stipulated that the dues must be paid within a year as of July 2022, in equal installments.

The company is still negotiating with the government to determine the value of its gas activity commission for the years 2019 and 2020, which reflects an annual return on investment of 12 percent.
