Under
the year-long agreement, Bank al Etihad will support the preparation and
distribution of 52,000 ready-to-serve meals through Waqf Thareed’s Daily Meals
Program. Meal distribution to the organisation’s beneficiaries is sponsored by
Bank al Etihad every Saturday.
The
partnership supports the humanitarian efforts of Waqf Thareed, the largest food
assistance initiative in Jordan and the only program in the Kingdom that
provides meals every day of the year from its headquarters in downtown Amman.
Beyond
financial support, the partnership includes a hands-on volunteering component
through Bank al Etihad’s corporate social responsibility program, Bassmet al
Etihad.
Employees and customers have the opportunity to volunteer with Waqf
Thareed and contribute directly to meal distribution, putting giving and
solidarity into action.
Bank
al Etihad said the renewed partnership reflects its commitment to creating
sustainable social impact by addressing everyday needs in the communities it
serves.
The initiative forms part of the bank’s broader commitment to building
effective partnerships that help meet the essential needs of vulnerable
communities and strengthen its positive contribution to society.
