The number of users of the “eFAWATEERcom” system increased during the first quarter of 2026 to reach 5.17 million users, compared to 5.04 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, reflecting a growth rate of 2.6%.اضافة اعلان

According to a report by the Jordan Payments and Clearing Company (JoPACC), the total value of transactions declined by 12%, reaching JOD 3.89 billion in Q1 2026, compared to JOD 4.42 billion in Q4 2025.

The report also showed a slight increase in the number of transactions during the first quarter of the year, reaching 20.47 million transactions, up from 20.24 million transactions, marking a 1.1% rise.

Government services accounted for the largest share of transaction value by biller type, totaling JOD 2.5 billion. This was followed by wallet companies and payment service providers, then the water and electricity sector at JOD 249.3 million, and financial services at JOD 187.2 million.

The telecommunications sector recorded the highest number of transactions by biller type, with 6.31 million transactions, followed by the water and electricity sector with 5.68 million transactions, and then government services with 4.59 million transactions.

Digital payments represented 85.4% of the total transaction value in Q1 2026, amounting to JOD 3.3 billion, compared to 74.7% in Q4 2025.

In contrast, the value of cash payments declined during the same period to JOD 568 million, accounting for 14.6%, compared to JOD 1.11 billion in Q4 2025.

Digital payments also made up 81.7% of the total number of transactions, with 16.7 million transactions, compared to 18.3% for cash payments.
