Russian President Vladimir Putin said the gross domestic product (GDP) of Russia’s Far Eastern region has more than tripled over the past 11 years, according to Russia Today.

Putin made the remarks during a plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum, held in the Russian city of Vladivostok.
Joining Putin at the session were Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Mongolian Prime Minister Nyam-Osor Uchral, Myanmar Vice President Nyo Saw, and Ding Xuexiang, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. The session was moderated by Kirill Tokarev, editor-in-chief of RBC TV.
