During an intervention in the fifth session of the House of Representatives’ second regular term, responding to parliamentary inquiries questioning the company’s founding date, Kharabsheh explained that it is an established and well-known company that has demonstrated both technical expertise and financial solvency.
Regarding the company’s recent registration, he clarified that the law requires foreign investors to register a local company, which may have led observers to mistakenly consider it newly established.
The remarks came during parliamentary discussions on the bill approving the executive agreement for the evaluation, development, and exploitation of copper and associated minerals in the Abu Khusheiba area. The agreement, concluded between the government represented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Wadi Araba Minerals Company, grants the company a license to carry out exploration, development, operation, and production of copper and associated minerals, as well as their marketing, for the year 2025. The matter was referred to the Energy and Mineral Resources Committee.
