Director General of the Jordanian Customs Department Maj. Gen. Ahmed Al-Akaleek made an unannounced visit to the Jaber Border Customs Center to assess the shipping crisis on the ground and review procedures and challenges affecting cross-border trade.

Al-Akaleek directed officials to develop practical and rapid solutions, as well as contingency plans and workable alternatives, to ensure the smooth movement of cargo and enable the center to respond efficiently to any increase or developments in cross-border trade activity.
He stressed the importance of coordination among all authorities operating at the center and called for the swift resolution of challenges affecting cargo movement, contributing to more efficient procedures and smoother trade flows.
