The selling prices for one gram of gold in 24-, 18-, and 14-carat grades for buying purposes at jewelry shops were JD 78.70, JD 61.10, and JD 46.40, respectively.

Rabhi Allan, President of the General Association of Jewelry and Gold Trade Shop Owners, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the price of the Roshdi lira, weighing 7 grams, reached JD 492, while the English lira, weighing 8 grams, was priced at JD 550.

He explained that the yellow metal closed its weekly trading on the global market yesterday, Friday, with a clear rise, reaching $3,400 per ounce.
