European Stock Indices Post Positive Performance, Close Higher

The pan-European Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.60%, putting it on track for a weekly gain of around 2%, which represents a fourth consecutive weekly rise, according to CNBC.

Utility stocks led regional gains as investors continued to seek defensive investment positions. Meanwhile, Germany's DAX was the only major national index trading in positive territory, rising 0.76% to close at 25,787.95 points.

France's CAC 40 index gained 0.42%, closing at 8,510.37 points, and the UK's FTSE 100 increased by 0.14%, closing at 10,667.48 points.
