A certificate of origin is a document used in international trade to certify that goods in a shipment were produced, manufactured, or processed in a specific country. It is used by customs authorities to determine applicable tariffs and verify the country of origin.

The Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for agricultural and animal products, natural resources, re-exported foreign goods, and foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions.

It also issues certificates for Jordanian industrial products upon request by exporters, based on an original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber and an authenticated original certificate of origin confirming that the goods are of Jordanian origin, in accordance with relevant regulations and instructions.
