U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran that he would not extend the ceasefire if an agreement is not reached by Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One while returning to Washington from Phoenix, Arizona, Trump said: “I may not extend the ceasefire, but the blockade on Iranian ports will continue. So you have a blockade, and unfortunately we may have to start dropping bombs again.”
Trump also mentioned that there was “good news” regarding Iran but declined to provide further details.
He stated: “We received good news about twenty minutes ago, and it seems things are going well in the Middle East with Iran.”
When asked about the nature of this good news, Trump responded: “You will hear about it. I believe it is a necessary and logical step, and I think it will happen. We will see what happens, but I believe it will happen.”
