Iraq calls on France to support its safety and stability

AMMAN — Iraqi President Barham Salih on Friday stressed that Iraq seeks support from its friends and allies to boost the country’s security and ensure its stability, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. اضافة اعلان

Salih in a meeting on the margins of the UN General Assembly with the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian, said that Iraq will continue its war against terrorism to consolidate its security, stability, and to maintain its economic and commercial openness.

He also added that Iraq will work hard to protect the environment and to address the significant impacts of climate change on the national level, in cooperation with regional and international cooperation.

The French minister reiterated France’s commitment to support Iraq’s security and stability, adding “we intend to develop the economic cooperation with Iraq,” according to Petra.
