The Ministry stated that inspection teams from the Internal Control Unit—in cooperation with Miyahuna, the Water Basins Directorate, and the Central Workshops, and supported by a security escort from the Public Security Directorate (represented by the Jizah Badia Police Center, the Gendarmerie Forces, and the Royal Department for Environmental Protection)—seized an illegal drilling rig during an assault on a main water transmission pipeline in the Jizah area, south of the capital, Amman. Official violation reports were filed, and legal measures were initiated against the perpetrators.

In a related context, during routine survey tours conducted by the Internal Control teams in cooperation with Miyahuna and WAJ personnel in the Ruseifa area, and in coordination with the Ruseifa Public Prosecutor, an illegal breach on a main water pipeline was detected. The violators had installed illegal extensions to supply water to several unauthorized houses.

The Ministry emphasized that an official incident report was drafted, adding that legal procedures will be completed to refer the violators to the competent authorities and to assess the costs and quantities of the stolen water.
