Teachers banned from wielding sticks in schools

AMMAN — A circular by the Jordanian Ministry of Education stated that teachers are banned from carrying sticks in schools, Khaberni reported. The circular also prohibits physical punishment of students in the various forms. It urged school staff to abide by the decision, and to follow educational methods and alternatives away from physical punishment.
