The institute also specifically dealt with Jordanian families, and studied the Arab states’ common denominators, and their cultural, social, economic and political differences.

Experts from the institute stressed the importance of studies that monitor the reality of Arab families, discuss the challenges they face, and provide insights and policies that can promote family cohesion in the Arab world. Among such studies are “Features of strong Arab families in Qatar, Jordan and Tunisia” and “The state of marriage in the Arab world”.

Chapter III of the first study focused on Jordanian families. For participants from Jordan, the family meant stability and safety, and the source of warmth and love for its members, while the extended family was sometimes cited as an important source of support and strength.

The study contributed to a more in-depth look at the strengths and characteristics of the Jordanian family, and the challenges it faces, and the manner in which Qatar, Jordan and Tunisia use these family strengths to face a variet.
