Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Al-Qadi said that the anniversary of the late King Hussein bin Talal’s birth marks the memory of a leader immortalized in the nation’s consciousness and in the hearts of its people.

Al-Qadi added at the opening of today’s parliamentary session: “From Hussein’s life, we draw meanings of courage, wisdom, and devotion in serving Jordan. Hussein was both a father and a leader who carried the nation in his heart and anchored its principles in the values of justice, love, and belonging.”
He continued: “Today, as we remember Hussein, we see his path continuing under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, may God protect him, who has steadfastly followed his approach, carrying the message of construction and renaissance, safeguarding Jordan’s security and the dignity of its people. And with great pride, Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II stands by his side — a young leader who embodies the spirit of Hussein and the path of Abdullah, bearing the hopes of youth and the ambitions of the future.”
Members of Parliament and the government recited Al-Fatiha for the soul of the late King Hussein — may he rest in peace.
