The Royal Naval Force and Royal Boats on Friday rescued two tourist boats that ran aground after suffering a technical malfunction, causing the vessels to lose control and drift toward a pier in the Gulf of Aqaba.

After the Maritime Operations Center received the report, public safety boats from the Coast Guard Unit were dispatched. Naval crews successfully rescued both boats and the people on board, towing them to the nearest safe port to prevent any injuries.
The intervention reflects the high level of readiness, professionalism and expertise of the Royal Naval Force and Royal Boats personnel in responding to maritime incidents and safeguarding lives and property.
