Despite the sharp month-on-month rise, passenger traffic in July remained 1.2 percent below the level recorded during the same month in 2025.The airport also recorded 7,403 aircraft movements in July, up 21.1 percent from June but down 2.5 percent compared to July 2025. Air cargo volume reached 7,594 tons, a 16.0 percent increase from the previous month and a marginal 0.2 percent decrease year-on-year.
Airport International Group said July's figures point to a marked improvement in activity following fluctuations earlier in the year, with the sharp month-on-month gains across passengers, flights and cargo reflecting the airport's capacity to handle increased demand during the peak summer travel season.
Nicolas Deville, chief executive of Airport International Group, said the July performance underscores the role of air connectivity in supporting tourism, trade and the broader Jordanian economy, particularly during the summer travel period. He said that with passenger traffic approaching one million in a single month, Queen Alia International Airport continues to serve as a key gateway for travel to and from the Kingdom.
Deville added that the company's priority is to sustain and build on this performance by ensuring the airport can respond to evolving demand while maintaining service levels, efficiency and connectivity for passengers and airline partners.
