Qatar security drill held with Jordan's participation concluded

DOHA — Activities of the five-day security exercise, dubbed "Watan: Homeland" concluded in Qatar on Thursday, aimed at testing the security readiness to host FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.  اضافة اعلان

Jordan took part in the joint drill with forces from various military formations, in addition to the host country Qatar, Turkey, the United States, Britain, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Palestine.

Last Sunday, Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, launched the national exercise, which saw participation of concerned Qatari military and civil authorities and Arab and foreign forces to ensure effective cooperation mechanism and measure security preparedness to achieve success during the tournament period.
