In a statement to "Petra" on Thursday, the hospital's director, Dr. Kifah Abu Tarboush, said the TAVR operations align with the policy of developing the Ministry of Health's cardiac health services.

As the first surgeries were conducted at the PHH, he said the medical team implanted aortic valves for three patients suffering from severe aortic valve stenosis, who are in "very good health condition and ready to be discharged."

"Distinguished" equipment was used to perform the TAVR operations under the support of the PHH's various wards, adding that these surgeries are a "qualitative" leap in services provided to patients at government hospitals.
