Political parties draft law must be passed — Odat

AMMAN — Deputy Abdel Moneim El-Odat, Head of the Lower House Legal Committee, said during the discussion of the political parties draft law that the proposed amendments will enable the country to reach the goal of a parliament based on partisan and programmatic blocs capable of exercising its constitutional role, according to Ammon News.اضافة اعلان

Odat added that the parliament needs to pass this law on Sunday because the country is facing a legal vacuum, and the Independent Election Commission must be able to monitor the affairs of the parties.

He indicated that in the amended text there is an article that allows the existing parties a one-year grace period to correct their situation, and therefore there is no need to delay its entry into force after its approval.
