AMMAN —
Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority signed on Thursday an agreement with
Princess Alia Foundation, to develop and improve the infrastructure and health
services provided to working animals in Petra, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.

The agreement was
signed in Amman on behalf of
Princess Alia Foundation, and on behalf of the
Petra Development and Tourism Authority President of the Board of Commissioners
Suliman Farajat.
Farajat said that the
authority is always keen to improve services and care offered to working
animals, adding that the agreement aimed to share knowledge and build capacities
in the area of animal protection.
According to the
signed agreement, a number of programs will be implemented in the
environmental, social and economic hubs of the Petra region, in addition to
initiatives that seek to improve animal welfare in the region.
