PSD arrests 28 suspects, seizes weapons, vehicles and drugs

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) personnel arrested 28 suspects in the northern and eastern Badia during security operations against drug dealers and traffickers, according to the PSD spokesperson Col. Amer Sartawi, Al-Mamlaka TV reported. Sartawi said on Sunday that the security forces operating in the northeastern Badia, also seized 23 vehicles and 23 different weapons, in addition to quantities of narcotics and ammunition. He added that PSD teams continue to operate in the area as part of an intensive campaign to apprehend those suspected of involvement in drug operations or illegal dealings, and to impose the rule of law. He pointed out that the security forces and the PSD continue their intensive work to protect the society and preserve its security and safety from drug dealers, traffickers and any individual who threatens the security of citizens. Sartawi said on Sunday that the security forces operating in the northeastern Badia, also seized 23 vehicles and 23 different weapons, in addition to quantities of narcotics and ammunition.


He added that PSD teams continue to operate in the area as part of an intensive campaign to apprehend those suspected of involvement in drug operations or illegal dealings, and to impose the rule of law.
