Despite social and economic challenges facing women, some breakthroughs have been made, the center noted, citing a recent constitutional amendments which guarantee women an equal opportunity alongside men to play an active role in the Jordanian society, as well as protection against all forms of violence and discrimination.

It called for supporting women’s economic and social empowerment by providing them with job opportunities and developing their skills in accordance with the labor market’s needs.
