Ministry considers restructuring parallel university system

AMMAN — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Wajih Owais said that restructuring the parallel system of admission to university is under study, but a decision has not been taken, according to Khaberni News.اضافة اعلان

Owais said that the antcipated restructuring, expected in October, is part of the national strategy to boost human resources.

Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education Mamoun Al-Dabai said on Sunday that “a project of structuring university fees in all public universities is under study, and it entails canceling admission to the parallel program.”

Dabai added that within 5 to 10 years, students will be accepted only in the competitive program, and that “will achieve justice and lead to unitary fees in all public universities.”
