The Marhaba watermelon is a colorful green, black, and yellow fruit. Local farmer Muhammad Khreisat first had the idea of bringing back the unique watermelon to the Marhaba plains and Deir Abi Saeed after it had disappeared for decades.

He added that this year’s crop should reach all Jordanian governorates, adding that the yellow watermelon weighs no more than 6kg.

Khreisat indicated that he intends to register the Marhaba watermelon brand locally and internationally.
