Jordanian peacekeepers leave for Mali

AMMAN — A second Jordanian peacekeeping contingent left the Kingdom Friday evening to join the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The peacekeepers headed to the West African nation after the first Jordanian force returned home. Their deployment comes as part of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army’s participation in the UN’s peacekeeping mission in Mali, which began in July 2018, through providing humanitarian ground support at Gao Airport in northern Mali.
