Speaking on the occasion of the UAE’s 50th National Day, Alblooshi said that Jordanian investments in the UAE are estimated at $2 billion, particularly in the real-estate sector, which confirms that Jordanian investors have found the UAE to be a safe and stable country for their investments.

He said that the average annual trade exchange between the two countries amounts to $1.5 billion dollars, while Emirati investments in Jordan have exceeded $17 billion, mainly in infrastructure projects, transport, tourism, agriculture, industry, and renewable energy.

The ambassador said that more than 20,000 Emirati tourists visit Jordan annually, and that there are more than 80 weekly flights between the Kingdom and the UAE.

He said that a memorandum of understanding was recently signed between the two countries to develop the performance of the Jordanian government and improve the services of the e-government, and to present several initiatives, most notably an initiative to qualify 1 million Jordanian programmers with the support of Dubai Future Foundation.
