Jordanian family missing in Libya floods

AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has reported that a Jordanian family is currently missing following the recent devastating floods in the Libyan city of Derna. اضافة اعلان

Sinan Majali, the official spokesperson for the ministry, disclosed that the Ministry's Operations Center Unit received a distress call from a fellow Jordanian citizen residing in Libya, who informed them that the family’s home had been destroyed by the flood, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.

First response
Promptly responding to the alert, the Operations Center Unit initiated contact with a relative of the missing family, which comprises six members. The concerned relative confirmed the interruption in communication with the family since the catastrophic flooding occurred.

Majali stressed that, in a collaborative effort between the Operations Center Unit and the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Tunisia, continuous communication is maintained with the relevant Libyan authorities to ascertain the family's current whereabouts and well-being.
