Jordanian, Qatari officials discuss further cooperation to mutual benefit

AMMAN — Labor Minister Nayef Istitieh on Friday discussed with his Qatari counterpart Ali Al-Marri the possibility of creating 20,000 job opportunities for Jordanians in Doha, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. اضافة اعلان

Taking part in the Friday discussions at the Prime Ministry were ministers of education and higher education, tourism, interior, health, digital economy, investment, youth and social development, as well as the Qatari ambassador to Jordan.

Talks also covered linking the "Qatar" and Jordanian "Sajil" platforms. to hire thousands of Jordanians, upon the initiative of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Istitieh said that the meeting contributed to enhancing coordination among the ministries of the two countries, maximize the benefits gained from agreements reached by the two sides, and increasing the number of qualified and trained Jordanian workers in Qatar.

The meeting touched on ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries, and exchange of expertise in all fields, in addition to ways through which Qatar could benefit from Jordanian expertise, especially in hosting the World Cup in Doha this year.

The ministers agreed to enhance the continuous communication in a way that serves the interests of both countries and in implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah and HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
