Jordan’s Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalayleh, confirmed that the transfer of Jordanian pilgrims to the plains of Arafat will begin on Wednesday evening, marking the official start of the Hajj rituals and the approach of the most significant pillar—standing at Mount Arafat.

Speaking to Radio Hala, Al-Khalayleh said the process will follow a special schedule, with pilgrims transported in organized groups by bus to spend the night in Arafat in preparation for the Day of Arafah. After sunset on that day, pilgrims will move to Muzdalifah and then continue to the Grand Mosque in Mecca for Tawaf and Sa’i. This schedule aims to ease the journey and protect pilgrims from the sun’s heat.
Al-Khalayleh urged Jordanian pilgrims to strictly follow the instructions of the administrative mission and the accompanying religious guides to ensure their safety and the proper observance of the Hajj rituals in accordance with Islamic teachings.
He added that preparations have been completed to receive the Jordanian pilgrims in the designated camps in Arafat and Mina. All necessary facilities will be provided to ensure a smooth and comfortable Day of Arafah, including the distribution of cold drinking water, food, and beverages—especially in light of expected high temperatures during the day.
