Jordan stresses need for halting Israeli aggression at ICC emergency meeting

AMMAN — Jordan’s representative at the Islamic Cooperation Council on Wednesday stressed the necessity of halting all Israeli aggression and violations in occupied Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, and other Palestinian territories.اضافة اعلان

In a speech during the virtually held emergency meeting of member state representatives to discuss Israeli violations, he added that Jordan, under the directives and follow up of His Majesty King Abdullah, the custodian of holy sites in Jerusalem, will continue to employ all its capacities to protect the holy sites, and their historical and legal status quo.

The representative also sressed the need for the international community to take immediate and effective steps to put an end to Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif, and halt illegitimate measures of forcefully evicting Sheikh Jarrah residents, according to the statement.
