The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned on Tuesday the two terrorist explosions that occurred today in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The official spokesperson for the Ministry, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, affirmed in a press statement the Kingdom's full solidarity and standing with the government and people of the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic, and its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilizing security and stability.
Al-Majali reiterated Jordan's supportive stance for the security, stability, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and safety of the citizens of brotherly Syria.
Eighteen people, including 4 police officers, were injured following two explosions that occurred near the Ministry of Tourism in Damascus, according to the Syrian Ministry of Interior.
SANA quoted the Ministry stating that the internal security forces detected the two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during their field operations, and specialized units began taking the necessary measures to dismantle them. However, they detonated while being prepared for the dismantling process.
The Ministry confirmed that the internal security forces cordoned off the perimeter of the site to ensure the safety of Syrians, while specialized units commenced sweeping and securing operations in the area.
