JMD expects moderate heat in highlands, high temperatures in other regions

AMMAN — Temperatures on Thursday, will be normal summer in the mountains and plains, relatively hot in Badia region, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba. The Meteorological Department warned people against direct exposure to sunlight during peak hours from noon to 3pm, and the possibility of fog at dawn and early morning hours over the northern mountains, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

On Friday, a hot air mass will impact the Kingdom, causing a slight increase in temperatures and making relatively hot weather in the highlands and the plains, while it will be hot in the Badia region and scorching in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

On Saturday, The Kingdom will be under the influence of the hot air mass, and temperatures will continue to rise to record 4-5 degrees Celsius higher than their normal rates for the same time of the year.
On Sunday, there will be a slight decrease in temperatures, and the weather will be relatively hot over the mountainous heights and the plains, hot in the Badia regions and scorching in Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, and the winds will be northwesterly moderate in speed, active at times.

The maximum and minimum temperatures will range between 32 - 19 degrees Celsius, in the Dead Sea 40 - 25, and in Aqaba 40 - 27 degrees Celsius.
