During a Cabinet session held in Karak Governorate, Hassan added that the development of Karak Castle is part of a broader project directed by His Majesty the King, in cooperation with Royal Court initiatives, under the plan to revive the city of Karak.
He explained that the project includes the rehabilitation and maintenance of Karak Castle, the city center, Wadi Bin Hamad, Al-Birka site, and Karak Gate. It will also feature a cable car station reaching the panoramic site, along with the preservation of heritage houses and other projects, with a total budget of around 10 million dinars. The project is expected to have a significant impact on tourism and the local economy in the governorate.
The Prime Minister emphasized that these projects will play a major and important role in boosting both tourism and the economy in Karak.
