Prime Minister Jafar Hassan said on Saturday that Jordan will remain the supportive neighbor and ally to Syria and its brotherly people, upholding their right to live with dignity and security after years of destruction, war, and suffering.

In his speech delivered as a representative of the King at the Arab Summit held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, he added: “Our hope is to see Syria prosperous, strong, and stable.”
Hassan welcomed the United States’ decision to lift sanctions on Syria, affirming Jordan’s full support for the Syrian brothers “with all our capabilities in the path of reconstruction, facing all threats to this process; for Syria’s stability is a cornerstone of regional stability.”
He continued: “We support brotherly Syria—its security, stability, sovereignty, prosperity, and the voluntary return of its displaced sons to contribute to building and rebuilding their homeland.”
He emphasized that Jordan will remain a pillar of support and assistance for its Arab brothers.
