The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the racist and inciteful statements made by the extremist Israeli Minister of Energy, Eli Cohen, regarding his rejection of the establishment of a Palestinian state and his desperate attempt to promote delusions that will not undermine Jordan or the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state on Palestinian national soil.

Ministry spokesperson Fouad Al-Majali affirmed that the aggressive practices and statements issued by ministers of the extremist Israeli government reflect its troubled reality and highlight a desire to fabricate and inflame crises amid a state of impunity entrenched by its systematic violations of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and state sovereignty.
Al-Majali stressed that the Palestinian state will be realized on Palestinian national soil along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution and in accordance with international legitimacy. He emphasized that the establishment of the Palestinian state is a historic and legal right that cannot be diminished by worthless statements with no legal effect—whether made by the Israeli energy minister or other extremist Israeli officials who deny the humanity of the Palestinian people and their legitimate right to freedom and an independent, sovereign state.
He further stressed that the futile delusions of Israeli extremists will not undermine Jordan, nor will they diminish the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people. These delusions will also not succeed in altering the reality of the internationally shunned Israeli government or affecting the growing international support for the two-state solution and for Palestinian rights.
Al-Majali called on the international community to take a clear stance condemning these statements and all racist, inciteful Israeli actions and rhetoric, which have no place except in the minds of extremists who threaten regional and international peace and security.
