According to a JTB press statement on Thursday, Fayez said that the discussions highlighted developments related to Jordan's tourism sector, pointing to the importance of the hospitality industry as the main leverage of the national economy.

Speaking at the meeting held on the sidelines of the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, Fayez highlighted Jordan's vision to increase the tourism momentum after COVID-19-induced disruption in the tourism sector and the impact on its workers.

Noting Jordan's various tourism components, he pointed to the procedures and health safety protocols implemented, which have earned the confidence of British and foreign visitors in the Kingdom's tourist destinations.

Arabiat underlined the importance of British tourism to Jordan, highlighting the outcomes of participation in the WTM, which witnessed the launch of the JTB's new institutional brand.

This step intends to enhance the Kingdom's position on the world tourism map, Arabiat pointed out.

The Kingdom's ambassador to Britain, Manar Dabbas, affirmed the Jordanian embassy's keenness to contribute "effectively" to promoting the Kingdom's tourism product and attracting additional British tourists.
Participation in today's meeting comes within the framework of the embassy's continued endeavor to support the Kingdom's tourism marketing plans in the British market, Dabbas noted.

At the end of the meeting, ABCC's members presented Fayez and Arabiat with an honorary shield in appreciation of their efforts to increase tourism momentum to Jordan.
