AMMAN — The World Health Organization (WHO) on Tuesday released their weekly epidemiological update of Jordan’s COVID-19 numbers.اضافة اعلان

Over the past week there have been between 10 and 50 cases per 100,000 people in Jordan, whereas, the number of COVID-19 deaths per 100,000 people was between 0.5 and 1.5 percent. 

According to the update, Jordan has reported cases of the Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta variants.  

The Eastern Mediterranean has reported a 13 percent increase in weekly cases — the largest increase in the region since March 2021, according to the WHO’s statement. While the highest number of new cases per 100,000 people was reported in Oman, Kuwait, and Tunisia, respectively. 

Nonetheless, the World Health Organization reported a 10 percent decrease in the number of weekly deaths worldwide.
