Early breast cancer detection gives 90% chance of recovery in Jordan

AMMAN — Director-General of the King Hussein Cancer Center Asem Mansour said on Monday that the rate of recovery for patients diagnosed with stage one or two breast cancer in Jordan has reached 90 percent, which puts Jordan on par with developed countries, according to Al-Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

HRH Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation and King Hussein Cancer Center, launched the seventh annual Arab Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, held this year under the slogan “A scan for life: Get checked”. The campaign aims to spread awareness about breast cancer and the importance of early detection, which greatly increases chances of survival and better treatment results.

The King Hussein Cancer Center indicated that in cases involving early detection the rate of recovery is 95 percent.

Princess Ghida called “on every woman in the Arab world to think of her health first, and not hesitate to get a mammogram”, which could help save her life, on her official Facebook page.
