80% of Petra tourism workers vaccinated

AMMAN — Some 80 percent of tourism workers in Petra have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, head of Petra Tourism Development, Sulaiman Al-Farajat has said.اضافة اعلان

Farajat added that of the 4,000 tourism workers in the district, 3,200 have been inoculated, in addition to 7,000 Petra residents.

Tourism in Petra has started to recover as of the beginning of April, according to Farajat, as 1,500 tourists of various nationalities have visited Petra in April, while the ancient city welcomed 3,000 foreign visitors in May.
